  • Ancillary studies on philosophical Realism and Nominalism, with emphasis on their practical outworkings in politics and culture (ongoing)

  • Research papers on Medieval conciliar theory, Aristotle's theory of tyranny, Cicero's theory of preserving the Republic, and Plutarch's concept of power and persuasion in the Greek and Roman lives.

Research Interests

  • Ancient and Medieval political theory, with emphasis on the foundations of law and culture, and Church / State relations

  • Medieval philosophy and culture

  • Church history (particularly Medieval)

  • Greek and Roman history (with emphases on Aristotle and Cicero)

Career Goals

  • Upon completion of graduate studies, I plan to teach on the college level, continue researching the above listed matters, and publish original contributions to the literature.
